A downloadable game for Windows

Join Witz and Doobz on their adventure to make a video game in just a week! With seven different mini-games, you'll have plenty of fun as you try to win the game jam and save the day!

You'll jump, run, bike, puzzle, and even date your way to success, as fully-voiced cartoon cutscenes bring the fast-paced story to life. Total expected playtime is about 20 to 30 minutes. This game is made for all ages!

Truly a jam within a jam, this game was made in a week by me, Kimberly Blais of Mama Makes Games, for the 2022 Epic MegaJam using Unreal Engine 5. Following the theme of "As Above, So Below," this recursive game about making a game playfully explores the joys and challenges of doing a game jam.

I did all programming, game design, voice acting, hand animating, and many other jobs, but fortunately Epic's game jam sponsors provided some great assets! I found endless remixing uses for the KitBash3D asset pack (even the "bug" robots are made from the KitBash buildings!) and was totally enamored with the endless musical smörgåsbord provided by Dynamedion (We Love Indies)! The complete list of pre-made assets I used is:

  • Dynamedion (All music and sound effects)
  • "Neo City" by KitBash3D (3D models and textures)
  • “Polygon - City Pack" by Synty Studios (3D models on Level 7)
  • “Movement Animset Pro" by Kubold (In-game animations)
  • "Bicycle with Animations“ by Orca Games (Bike model and animations on Level 7)
  • “Animal Pack Ultra 2" by JanPecnik (Cat animations and model on Level 1)
  • “Chameleon Post Process" by SUMFX (In-game post processing effects)
  • “Komika Hand” by Apostrophic Labs (Font)

System Requirements:

  • Windows 10 or higher
  • DirectX 11 or 12 dedicated graphics card (GTX 1650 or higher recommended)
  • 1 GB free disk space
  • 4 GB RAM
  • Gamepad controller supported but optional

Thank you for playing my game!

I had fun playing this. My favorite was the AC surprise :). Also not sure if I was supposed to, but I was able to double jump with the bike, so it helped me pass the final jump!

Thanks! I'm glad you had fun! And, yes -- the double jump is an intentional feature on that level. I'm not pro enough to make the final jump without it! :D
